The construction,
design and materials are all of the very highest order.
Orthopod's signature back rest is constructed from a single sheet of
laminated European Beech ply, moulded under very high pressure to
replicate the shape of the human spine. Closer examination reveals the
intriguing complexity of the lamination as it tapers from 25mm at the
base to 8mm at the top: a contoured profile that has been approved by
Kate flowers, a well known consultant in ergonomic sciences.
